The portal says my PDF is too large. What should I do?

Compress this file and try the upload again. If the portal also limits pages or file type, follow that message. A smaller PDF still has to be a PDF they accept.

Should I compress an Aadhaar download from UIDAI?

Only if the portal rejected it for size. Official downloads are often already small. Compressing a locked file does not remove its password — unlock it first if it will not open.
