What we process locally
Supported PDF tools — including merge, organize, split, compress, image-to-PDF, watermark, and page numbers — process files in your browser. For those tools, documents are not uploaded to PDFTrusted servers.
What may be processed securely online
Some tools need a short secure conversion step — for example Office and OpenDocument converts, web captures (HTML, URL, EPUB), OCR, and scan-oriented PDF exports. Files are transmitted for the job, processed, and returned. We do not keep a permanent document library from these conversions. The product indicates when a file will leave your device before you continue.
Document retention
We do not automatically store processed documents as a personal archive. Temporary processing artifacts are cleaned up after jobs complete. If file history is offered later, we will store metadata only unless you explicitly choose cloud storage.
Anonymous usage
Free anonymous usage limits are tracked in local browser storage. Clearing site data may reset that local state. We do not use invasive browser fingerprinting for this mechanism.
Accounts & billing
If you create an account or subscribe, we process account, authentication, and payment-related data through our authentication and payment providers. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider—not stored on PDFTrusted servers as raw card numbers.
