Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are the agreement between you and PDFTrusted for access to pdftrusted.com and related PDF tools, pages, and account features (the “Service”).

If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use PDFTrusted for an organization, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

You should be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. If you are under that age, a parent or guardian must supervise your use and accept these Terms on your behalf.

PDFTrusted helps you compress, merge, convert, split, organize, sign, protect, unlock, and related PDF tasks — including helpers that summarize or answer questions from a document when offered.

Some tools process files in your browser. Others need a short secure conversion step so the file can be transformed and returned. The tool flow should make it clear when a file leaves your device before you continue. See Security for the practical split.

We may set technical limits — file size, page count, daily free uses, concurrent jobs, and similar — so the Service stays usable for everyone. Limits can differ between free and paid plans and may change with notice on Pricing or in the product.

Output quality depends on the source file, your device, network, and the tool. Always keep your own copy of important originals. We are not a document archive or a backup service.

While you follow these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for lawful personal or business document work.

You may not:

• copy, sell, lease, or sublicense the Service itself
• reverse engineer, scrape, or probe the Service beyond what the law allows for interoperability
• use outputs or the Service to train, improve, or benchmark competing models or products in a way that copies our systems without permission
• remove branding, notices, or technical protections that are part of the Service

You keep ownership of the documents and content you upload or process (“Your Files”). You confirm you have the rights to process those files and that doing so does not break the law or someone else’s rights.

You give us only the permissions needed to run the tool you chose — for example, transmit a file for a secure convert, return a result, and then clean up temporary job data. We do not claim ownership of Your Files.

You are responsible for what you process: illegal content, malware, or files you are not allowed to handle. We may remove or block access when we learn of clear abuse, a lawful order, or an infringement notice we take seriously.

Download results promptly. Temporary processing copies are cleaned up after jobs finish. Do not rely on PDFTrusted as long-term storage.

Some features need an account. Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity under your account unless you tell us promptly about unauthorized use.

Provide accurate contact details so we can reach you about billing, security, or Terms updates. You can ask us to delete an account by contacting support; paid periods already billed follow the billing rules below.

Use the Service in good faith for its intended PDF work. Do not:

• overload, disrupt, or attack the Service, or try to bypass limits, paywalls, or security controls
• run bots or scrapers that hammer tools beyond normal human use
• share accounts or sell access you do not own
• upload malware, or use tools to harass, defraud, or harm others
• infringe copyrights, trademarks, or privacy rights of third parties
• misuse support channels (for example, false reports or abusive contact)

We may investigate unusual volume or abuse patterns and suspend or terminate access when needed to protect the Service and other users.

Free use includes a daily allowance of tool uses. Clearing browser storage may reset local free-use counters. Paid plans unlock higher limits as shown on Pricing.

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by our payment provider (currently Lemon Squeezy). Card details are handled by the provider — not stored by us as raw card numbers. Taxes and currency display follow the checkout you complete.

Recurring plans renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel before the next renewal so you are not charged for a new period. After canceling, paid benefits usually continue through the end of the period you already paid for.

Prices can change. Existing renewals follow the notice and checkout rules shown at purchase time. Failed payments may pause or cancel paid access after a short grace window.

Refunds follow the payment provider’s policies and applicable consumer law where you live. If a paid tool fails because of a clear PDFTrusted fault, contact [email protected] with enough detail for us to check — we will work with you in good faith.

PDFTrusted, the site design, software, logos, and related branding are ours (or our licensors’). These Terms do not transfer those rights to you. Feedback you send may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.

We aim for a calm, reliable Service, but we do not promise unbroken uptime. Maintenance, outages, browser limits, or third-party providers can affect tools. Local tools still depend on your device and browser.

We may add, change, or retire tools and features. If a change materially cuts a paid benefit mid-cycle, we will try to communicate clearly and handle renewals fairly.

Events outside our reasonable control (major outages, disasters, network failures, legal blocks) may delay or limit parts of the Service.

Help guides live on the Blog. For account or billing issues, use Contact or email [email protected]. We respond as capacity allows; paid users may get priority when stated in the product.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties that are not expressly stated here — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

PDFTrusted is not a law firm, notary, or certified archive. Signed or protected PDFs may still need to meet rules set by a school, employer, court, or counterparty. You decide whether an output meets your legal or contractual needs.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, PDFTrusted is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business opportunity, arising from the Service. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars (USD $50) — except where the law does not allow that limit (including certain consumer rights that cannot be waived).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may cancel a paid plan through your account/billing flow or by contacting support.

We may suspend or end access if you break these Terms, create risk for other users or the platform, fail to pay, or if we must comply with law. Where practical, we will give notice. Sections that should survive — including Your Files responsibilities, our IP, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law — continue after termination.

We may update these Terms when the product or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material updates may also be flagged in the product or by email if we have a working address for you.

Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and cancel any paid plan you no longer want.

These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to the operator of pdftrusted.com, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would point elsewhere. Courts with authority over that operator may hear disputes — but if you are a consumer, mandatory protections in your country of residence still apply and may give you the right to bring claims in your local courts.

If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms are the whole agreement for the Service and replace prior versions on the same subject.
