Cookie Policy
What PDFTrusted stores in your browser to run the site — and what we do not turn on without saying so.
Last updated: September 25, 2026
1. What this covers
Cookies are small files a site can store on your device. Local storage is similar browser storage used by modern web apps. This policy covers both. It sits next to our Privacy Policy.
2. Essential cookies & storage
We use essential cookies and local storage to make the Service work. Without them, sign-in, preferences, and free-use limits would break. Typical uses:
- Keep you signed in (session cookies via our auth provider)
- Remember language or UI preferences when those are stored locally
- Track anonymous free daily uses in local storage so limits stay fair
- Security and load-balancing cookies required by the host
Clearing site data may sign you out and reset local free-use counters.
3. Optional analytics
In production we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and tools people use. It is not required to compress, merge, or convert a PDF.
GA4 may set cookies or use similar storage on Google's domains. You can block analytics via browser settings, extensions, or Google's opt-out browser add-on. Where the law requires consent before analytics cookies, we rely on your browser controls and regional signals until a dedicated consent banner is added.
4. How to control them
You can delete cookies and site data in your browser settings, use private browsing, or block cookies entirely. Blocking essential cookies may stop login or free-use tracking from working correctly.
Browser guides differ by vendor; search your browser’s help for “clear cookies” or “site settings.”
5. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy when our storage practices change. The “Last updated” date will move when we do.
