PDF tools for finance teams handling statements and audits

Statements arrive as scans, packs run to hundreds of pages, and half the content cannot leave the building. These tools are built for that: redact for real, search a scan, and split a pack by size.

Where the time goes

Black boxes that are not black

Drawing a rectangle over an account number leaves the text underneath, and anyone can copy it back out. Real redaction removes the content, not just the pixels.

Scans you cannot search

A scanned bank statement is an image. OCR turns it into searchable text so a 90-page statement can be checked with ctrl+F instead of by eye.

The 300-page pack and the 25 MB upload

Audit packs exceed upload limits constantly. Splitting by size or by page range gives clean parts that fit the portal, a reviewer, or an email box.

A workflow you can run today

Every step is a working tool, not a screenshot. The order below is the one that actually finishes the job.

  1. 1

    Redact before it leaves

Mark the account numbers and personal identifiers, then export a copy where those regions no longer contain the original text. Keep the untouched original in your own storage.

  2. 2

    Make the statement searchable

Run OCR over the scanned statement, then convert to Excel when the reviewer wants the table rather than the page image.

  3. 3

    Pack ready for review

Merge the statement, the ledger and the cover note, stamp a DRAFT watermark on anything not final, and split the result to the size the portal accepts.

What it actually costs

No “unlimited” that quietly stops at a download button. These are the enforced numbers.

Finance questions

Is redaction permanent in the output file?

Yes for the copy you export: the marked regions are removed from the page content instead of being covered, so selecting or copying the area returns nothing. Keep an unredacted original if you need it for your own records.

Which documents stay on our machines?

Compress, merge, split, rotate, crop, watermark, page numbers, protect, flatten, redact and the form/annotation tools run in the browser. OCR, Office conversion, translate and the AI tools use our servers and follow the retention windows described on the security page.

What are the limits for a month-end crunch?

Free allows 20 everyday jobs and 3 cloud jobs per day, up to 100 MB per file. Pro raises this to 200 and 50, 200 pages per job, plus saved files for the audit trail.
