  • Only the domains you list can frame the PDF
  • View-only by default; expires on its own

Embed PDF on Your Website

Embed a PDF on your website with a single line of HTML: upload the file once and paste the snippet into any CMS, intranet or landing page. Pick the frame height, decide whether visitors may download the file, and list the domains allowed to frame it. Embeds are view-only by default, expire automatically and are never indexed by search engines, so a document cannot leak into Google or be re-framed on another site.

How to embed a PDF on a website

  1. 1Add the PDF you want to embed.
  2. 2Choose the frame height, how long the embed should live, and which domains may frame it.
  3. 3Create the embed code and paste it into your CMS or page template.
  4. 4Preview it, then delete the embed whenever you like; it also stops working on its expiry date.

What the embed gives you

  • One line of HTML — works in any CMS that accepts an embed
  • Only the domains you list can frame the PDF
  • View-only by default; download is opt-in per embed
  • Automatic expiry and no search-engine indexing

Embed PDF questions

Do I need to host the PDF somewhere first?

No. Upload it here once and the embed code points at your file — no web server, no file manager, no plugin.

Can someone else copy the embed onto their site?

Only if you leave the domain list empty. Add your domains and the browser refuses to frame the PDF anywhere else.

Will the PDF show up in Google?

No. Embed pages are marked noindex, are blocked in robots.txt and are never cached offline.

Does the embed need JavaScript on my site?

No special library. Paste the iframe snippet into HTML, WordPress, Webflow or any CMS that allows embeds.

Can visitors download the embedded PDF?

Only if you turn download on for that embed. The default is view-only so the file stays inside the frame.

How long does an embed keep working?

You set the lifetime when you create it. After expiry the frame stops serving the file and storage cleanup removes the object.

What if my site uses HTTPS?

The embed URL is HTTPS, so mixed-content warnings do not appear on modern HTTPS sites.

Is there a free size limit?

Yes — free embeds follow the 100 MB upload ceiling. Larger documents need Pro.
