Compress Multiple PDF Files Online

Batch compression questions

How many PDFs can I compress at once?

Up to 20 files in one batch, with a total of 100 MB and 50 pages on the Free plan. Pro raises the per-file page ceiling; the 20-file batch limit stays the same so the browser is not asked to hold an unbounded queue.

Do I get one PDF or a ZIP?

A batch returns one ZIP containing every compressed PDF. Each file keeps its own name, with a number added when two files share a name, so nothing is overwritten. One file on its own still downloads as a normal PDF.

Are my files uploaded?

Not when the batch fits the browser path. Compression runs on your device, and the files are not sent to a server. A Pro job can use the secure cloud path for stronger compression, and that path is labelled while it runs.

Why did one file fail while the others worked?

The usual cause is a password-protected PDF or a damaged file. The result screen names the file and the reason, and the successful files stay downloadable. Unlock a protected PDF first, then add it to a new batch.

Can I open the ZIP on a phone?

Yes. iPhone opens it in the Files app and Android in Files by Google or your file manager. Both let you extract the PDFs and share them one by one.
